PAYPAL CANCELLED
Unfortunately I have had to remove the PayPal facilities due to high charges from the company for use. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. Payment is however accepted via electronic transfer for those who prefer not to handle cheques/cash.

PAY-PER-PLACE
Would all parents/students please note that as of April 2012 there will no longer be ANY concessions of fees as my policy is strictly a pay-per-place scheme. As stated in your contracts; any lesson missed by the student must be paid for unless the teacher is absent in which case this lesson will be made up in Week 11 or refunded as a credit. Thanks.

FEE INCREASE
Unfortunately I was unable to put it off any longer - having held my fees since 2009. But as of January 2012 lesson fees will increase to £16 for a half hour lesson and £32 for an hour's tuition. Please note that part payment of fees after the half term is now subject to an extra admin fee of £3.50. To Pay your fees online please click here.

FEES FROZEN FOR AUTUMN 2011
Georgiana was able to freeze her tuition fees for the remainder of the year and thus the planned increase will not take place this term. Lesson fees will remain the same until further notice.

OPEN MIC CANCELLED
Unfortunately The Music Room open mic evenings at the ORFC have been cancelled effective from Sept 2nd. This is due to a change in circumstances at the club. Although the fortnightly event will be no more, watch this space for band nights and showcase events instead.

CHANGE TO OPEN MIC
The ORFC Open Mic is returning to its traditional acoustic roots for the summer. The next electric night is set to be held on September 16th 2011. Please check here for dates.

RECITAL 2011
The Summer Recital this year will be held on 10th July at 3-4:30pm at Sanderson Hall, St Pauls' Cray.

Entry is just £5 per student (with discounts to families with more than one student). Parents, relatives and friends are encouraged to come along to watch and lend their support. Students will be given their sign up sheets in lessons shortly. Any questions, please ask Georgiana or Mary.

EASTER 2011
As Easter is late this year AND there is a Bank Holiday Monday it will be affecting all Monday students who will be unable to return to their lessons after Spring break until May 9th. This also unfortunately means they will only get 9 out of 10 lessons this summer term. All Monday students should therefore hand all exam applications in to me BEFORE the break as the deadline is May 1st. The term dates for Monday students are: May 9th-July 11th.

ACOUSTIC OPEN MIC I am now hosting an acoustic open mic in addition to the electric open mic nights already running at the ORCF. Strictly unplugged, just bring your acoustic guitar or a band mate (or two) and have the floor for 15 minutes. Free entry for performers, £1 for spectators. Licensed bar, ample free parking. Under 18's permitted with a guardian.

NEW! PAY ONLINE USING PAYPAL
Existing students may pay their lesson fees online using PayPal this September. How it works: you must have a PayPal account. If you don't have one, simply go to PayPal to set one up. Next, purchase your lessons on the Fees page. A payment notification will then be sent to you. N.B. If you are an existing student and would like to pay your fees this way you must first notify me.

NEW ADMIN ASSISTANT - May 2010
Have you noticed the new desk in the corner of the waiting area? As my student base grows, so too does my paperwork! Introducing Mary Mason, my new Admin Assistant. Mary has had years of experience running a multi-million pound business. Mary's own love of singing, performing and playing the guitar make her an ideal employee. Mary currently works part time on Wednesday mornings from the reception area in the waiting room.

OPEN MIC - April 2010
I was approached and asked to host an open mic night on the third Friday of every month at the Orpington Rugby Club, literally just around the corner from where I teach. For dates and more information, please click on this link.

EXPANSION - February 2010
I am in talks with four potential tutors to expand the teaching business into a practice, enabelling me to increase the time table and subjects on offer.

NEW STUDIO - January 2010
I have moved into new premises; a purpose built teaching studio consisting of one classroom and a waiting room. This provides parents/carers with a comfortable place to wait and for students, a place to arrive early and tune up their guitars. Also in the waiting room you'll find plenty of chairs, drinking water, a place to hang your jacket, reading material, spare plectrums and toys for youngsters.

Current Projects

Phew...this has been a busy start to 2012 so far! And it's not looking like letting up...I have played at the Royal Victoria & Bull in Dartford, Poco Loco in Chatham, Dirty South in Lee and Showcase Cinemas in Bluewater. Performed at a truck load of open mics including the OMG bar, the Albany, Rosecroft, 5 Bells, Papermakers, Dancing Dog Saloon and Malt Shovel. Collaborated on a dance track with producer Andy at PBT and written two brand new songs for a very exciting project that's in the pipeline.

This week I am at Rodelsound Recording Studios in London working together with talented young producer Dan Cooper on a full length album of my own songwriting compositions. Special cameo guests will also be featuring.

Next week I'll be performing at the St George's Day celebrations at the ORFC (22nd April), at the premier of American Reunion at Bluewater (4th May) and opening the Petts Wood MayFayre with a scratch band (May 7th). To keep up to date with gig listings visit my artist page online at: www.georgieonline.com

The podcast for my live interview and performance with Kate Devere on Gashouse Radio last month will be posted up soon.

Gig Diary
In addition to my regular live performances at open mics and local fayres and festivals, I am also available for private hire and have performed at weddings, funerals, churches, garden centres, parties and the like!
